“Photography is an art of observation. It’s about finding something interesting in an ordinary place… I’ve found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them.” Elliott Erwitt
“Photography takes an instant out of time, altering life by holding it still.”
What is sRGB?
sRGB is a color space that defines a range of colors that can be displayed on screen on in print. It is the most widely used color space and is supported by most operating systems, software programs, monitors, and printers. Every color on a computer screen is comprised of individual red, green, and blue values. sRGB is preferred over RGB.
How do you know if your photo is sRGB?
After you're finished editing the image, here's what you do: In Photoshop, open the image and choose View - Proof Setup - Internet Standard RGB (sRGB). Next, choose View - Proof Colors (or press Command-Y) to see your image in sRGB. If the image looks good, you're done.
To convert you photos to sRGB in PhotoShop Elements:
To convert any image to the sRGB color space in Elements, first open the color settings dialogue box under Edit-Color Settings and choose Limited Color Management (top picture) which uses sRGB as the working color space. Then open an image and save it under a new name making sure the “ICC Profile: sRGB” box (see below) is checked. That converts the new image to the sRGB color space.
